Rescind Precautionary Boil Water Notice for Community Water System

On May 6th, 2025, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
required Brushy Creek WSC, PWS # 0010036, to issue a Boil Water Notice
to inform BCWSC customers on the following addresses: 4045 thru 5363
ACR 404, 4520 E FM 321 thru 6310 E FM 321, all customers on ACR
402 and ACR 4021 that due to a line break and repair, which occurred recently
in the public water system, the water from this public water system was
required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption
purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore
the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking
water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory
test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as
of May 8th, 2025.

Due to a repair, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required
Brushy Creek WSC, PWS #0010036, to notify customers that Brushy Creek
WSC has issued a boil water notice for customers on the following roads and
addresses. All water provided by BCWSC for customers which includes the
following: 4045 thru 5363 ACR 404, 4520 E FM 321 thru 6310 E FM 321, all
customers on ACR 402, and ACR 4021 shall be boiled prior to use for drinking
or human consumption purposes, prior to consumption (eg. washing hands/face,
brushing teeth, drinking, etc). Children, seniors, and persons with weakened
immune systems are particularly vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all
customers in that area should follow these directions.)
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for
drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for
drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought
to a vigorous rolling boil and boiled for two minutes.
In lieu of boiling, customers may purchase bottled water or obtain water from
some other suitable source for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, BCWSC officials will notify
customers that the water is safe for drinking or human consumption purposes.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, BCWSC will issue a notice to
customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.
